They say the first portion of your year abroad will go slowly. It may be hard and everything will be new. Around Christmas, you theoretically get homesick and then after the holidays, the time flies by. I didn’t think my exchange would be as cookie cutter as this, but my goodness, everyone who told me to expect this has been spot on. I’m currently in the last portion of my exchange, and as my life is flying by, certain things get lost in the dust. Consequently, it’s been four months since my last post. Part of me wants to apologize for the inconsistency, but the other part of me realizes that it’s a good thing I haven’t been writing. Instead, I’ve spent that time living. I haven't been frantically trying to put a blog together every week. I’ve been in the moment, spending time with family and soaking up as much as I can before I leave in a few short weeks.
I’ve spent most of the past few months traveling. I got out of school in late February and have been on the go ever since. I’ve been to Krabi, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok all twice as well as visiting Pattaya, Roi Et, and tons of southern provinces. It’s been incredible. This gorgeous country has so much to offer. I’m so grateful that I had the chance to spend 10 months here. I couldn’t trade it for the world.
